Rick Grambo will serve as president of the Harford County Board of Education following an election Monday night, and will fulfill the term of Leonard Wheeler, who died suddenly last month.
Grambo had served as interim president since Wheeler’s death and was elected unanimously; there were no other nominations. Wheeler’s term is scheduled to end in July.
“I appreciate the trust you’ve placed in me, so thank you,” Grambo said.
Grambo is the vice president for sales and engineering at Pritchard Brown in Baltimore, according to his biography on the Harford County Public Schools website. He and his wife, Jennifer, attended the school system from kindergarten through high school, according to the bio, and his oldest son currently attends North Harford Elementary School.
Nancy Reynolds was elected vice-president in Grambo’s place, also by a unanimous vote and without opposition. Reynolds is a longtime Harford County Public Schools educator, the former principal of Bel Air Middle School, and a principal mentor.
