From Harford County government:
Officials from the National Weather Service suspect damage to a home and trees in a Jarrettsville community were caused by a tornado Friday evening. The assessment was made late Saturday following a visit to the property located in the 2100 block of Cox Road.
A home owned by Donald Alcorn, initially reported as John Alcorn, sustained minor damage to the rear of the one-story dwelling and the destruction of at least two trees on the property. Officials from the Harford County Division of Emergency Operations (EOC) visited the site Saturday morning and were followed later in the day by personnel from the National Weather Service. The NWS will make its formal declaration of the touchdown of a tornado on Monday following a review of storm data at their Sterling office.
The path of the suspected tornado covered an area of approximately 400 feet.
A severe weather front passed through Harford County between 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012. The Division of Emergency Operations issued a tornado warning at 6:53 p.m. followed by a second notification at 7:03 p.m. Both warnings advised citizens in Harford County to immediately seek shelter.
The fast moving storm brought heavy winds and rain to Harford County, with the strongest activity in the northwest area of the county.
Although the rain resulted in some localized flooding to some roads, no serious injuries were reported.
