From Harford County Public Schools:
On October 3, Red Pump Elementary School participated in the International Walk to School Day and had more than 700 students, teachers and other community members participate in the event. Buses stopped at the top entrance and gave students the option to walk down Dalmatian Drive, giving every student the opportunity to be involved in the event. This marked the “kick-off” to the school-wide incentive to increase student activity level by walking or biking to and/or from school.
Jeff Gilbert and Ali Hunsinger co-coordinated this event and added, “This event would not have been possible without the support from the families, crossing guards, bus drivers, faculty volunteers and administration. We thank you for your support to our students’ wellness.”
