From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
(Edgewood, MD – July 30, 2012) On Saturday, July 28, 2012 at approximately 1:30pm, several calls were received by the 911 center for a male who had just been shot.
Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Edgewater Shopping Center located at 1851 Pulaski Highway in Edgewood MD where the victim, Solathal T. Delilly, age 20, of the 1800 block of Grempler Way in Edgewood MD was located. The victim was transported by Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. He has since been released.
Investigation has determined that the victim, Delilly, was struck in the head and then shot in the leg in the 1800 block of Grempler Way in Edgewood MD by an unknown suspect. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’07” tall with a light complexion. He was wearing a black polo shirt and khaki shorts at the time of the shooting. Investigation has determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

The 1800 Block of Grempler Way should have County Watch cameras. Did this catch the shooting or where they broken once again?
Cameras aren’t going to help. This is a long standing feud between two families of morons. That’s why the guy has been shot on separate occasions. If, you need further convincing, check out the court cases over the last 3 years.
“King of Common Sense” seems to see the consolation in all this correctly. The residents of that community need to petition the county to get rid of them as menaces to everyone’s health & safety in their community.
This is the second time Mr. Delilly has been shot, once by Keeyan Brooks who is currently serving time for it. Seems like Mr. Delilly is determined to survive and continue his life of crime. On the bright side, he is helping us put criminals away for lengthy sentences by catching their bullets.
In the last 14 Days 2 burglaries and one assault were reported in the 1800 block of Grempler Way. This doesnt appear to include this shooting which makes four serious part 1 crimes on that street alone. The entire rest of Edgewater Village including Brookside Drive, Fishermans Lane, Edgewater drive and surrounding streets have no part 1 crimes. Wouldnt you say that street is maybe a problem??? What a shocker…Delilly was shot again. Too bad he wasn’t in prison where he belongs.
Everyone needs to get their facts correct and stop believing our sheriff’s dept. Every crime in Edgewood is not gang related…many of these incidents have NOTHING to do with gangs. The way they validate gang members would never validate anyone or anything in a real court system. For example, if you had a niece or nephew or anyone come into your home or go somewhere with your child, your child or you could be validated as a gang member since they were seen with this alleged gang member. Did anyone stop to think this young man is just a bully and a trouble maker and after many years of him assaulting people, threatening, etc…maybe this young man was defending himself? Also, did anyone stop to think MAYBE Solothol has a gun also…he is just not getting caught with it on him. Just food for thought…the police and the prosecutors keep letting him go because he is a “snitch” for them. Do any of us think that is right? The other time he was shot, the police work was so shoddy and rushed that the real shooter is probably still on the street…maybe even this young man…know all the facts, not just what you hear on the news, read on court records, or see on the dagger.

And by no means am I saying it is ok to shoot people or harm people in anyway…just stating facts.
If only all of these young guys had jobs, they wouldn’t have time to hang out and get into trouble. If only their parents were responsible and used some discretion and discipline about who their kids hung out with before they became adults. Sometimes parents need to tell their teens that consequences exist for making poor decisions including hanging out with the wrong people.
Seek the Truth – In order to be “just stating the facts” you have to actually be stating facts. Your statement about our method for validating gang members couldn’t be further from the truth. Associating with a known gang member would not be sufficient and more often than not gang members are validated by a combination of factors supplemented by their own admission to membership. However, even if a person comes out and says that they are a member we do not automatically assume they are without further evidence. You asked “did any of us stop to think solothol might have had a gun”, well actually we were joking about he is just another drug dealing crook that got shot for a second time….so yes I think we ALL stopped to think he might have a gun. FYI for future reference, sentences that contain facts do not begin with “maybe” or end with “food for thought”
More licensed gun carriers and strict enforcement of gun laws. Since this is the second time this guy has been shot that’s a clue.
