From the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association:
At approximately 8:21 p.m. Sunday July 15, a call was received by Harford County 911 reporting two subjects in the water adjacent to Park Beach Drive in the Perryman area. First arriving units from the Aberdeen (Volunteer) Fire Department determined that one of the subjects had been removed from the water prior to Fire Department arrival. The second person remained unaccounted for.
A search of the Bush River was immediately begun utilizing marine resources of the Harford County Technical Rescue Team which includes units from the Susquehanna Hose Co., Abingdon Volunteer Fire Co, Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department as well as resources from the Kingsville and Middle River Rescue Volunteer Companies from Baltimore County. Additional assistance from the Maryland State Police Aviation Unit, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Coast Guard, and Harford County Sheriff’s Office were also involved in this search using forward looking infrared radar and side scan sonar.
At approximately 11:00 p.m., the search was terminated as personnel were unable to locate the missing person. The search efforts were to be resumed Monday morning.
