Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus says
Now, do you still think a riverboat is going to generate revenues for the state? Maryland Live is in a more convenient location than Hollywood Casino. Population density and shorter drive time being signicant factors.
SSSUURRRE!!! A riverboat casino in Harford County is nostalgic and sounds nice. However, if, convincing is what you need take a ride down to Vicksburg Mississippi on a week night and visit their riverboat gambling facility. You may find 2 rollers sitting at a table there. They may be highly intoxicated from crying in their beer but, they are not high dollar rollers and winners.
It would be saturation of gambling in the area. You need a combination of other venues and entertainment to accompany and support the gambling.
