From Maryland State Police:
On Sunday, June 10, 2012, at 2:53 PM, troopers from the Maryland State Police (Bel Air Barrack) responded to an armed robbery at the Cricket Wireless cell phone store located along the 1900 block of Edgewood Road, Edgewood, Maryland. The Cricket Store is west of the intersection of Pulaski Highway (US Route 40) and Paul Martin Drive.
The suspect entered the business, displayed a semi-auto handgun, and assaulted the clerk before demanding cash. Upon obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency, the suspect fled the store on foot/and in a late model Toyota Tundra. The 24 year old female clerk, Baltimore County resident, was not injured during the robbery and assault.
Bel Air Barrack investigators were able to establish the identity of the suspect by connecting him to the Toyota Tundra observed fleeing the scene. On Wednesday, June 13, 2012, investigators from the Maryland State Police (Bel Air Barrack) effected the arrest of the suspect in this investigation.
Accused: Godfrey Duncan (42 yoa), 1200 block of Windy Branch Way, Edgewood, Maryland 21040. Duncan was charged with Armed Robbery/1st and 2nd Degree Assaults/Use of a Handgun During the Commission of a Violent Crime/Theft. Duncan is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
