A teenager who stabbed a blind man to death in a Bel Air apartment last summer was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
Donnell Graham, 18, of Bel Air was pled guilty March 12 in Harford County Circuit Court to the Aug. 5 murder of Patrick Ward, 29, in Ward’s Redfield Road Apartment. He originally faced five charges in the incident.
Police investigators said Ward encountered Graham as the youth attempted to rob his apartment. But sources told The Dagger several days after Ward’s death that the legally blind man had grown fearful of his downstairs neighbors and their friends, including Graham.
Sources said that Graham sought to steal a gun Ward kept in his apartment for personal protection, intending to use it to commit other crimes. Graham was immediately identified “by numerous citizens” as Ward’s attacker, according to court documents filed by the first Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputy on the scene.
Police said Graham was tracked by K-9 units from the murder scene to his nearby home on Fairwood Road, where he was taken into custody.

You obviously don’t get a lot judging by your senseless, baffling, rant you are passsing off as logic in your argument.
However, let me clarify a few things for you. All homicides are not murders so, sentencing guidleines allow for lattitude in different homocides based on how they are classified. The “other expletives” as you characterized things are obviously not even homocides. Therefore, in many cases they don’t even deserve the same punishments.
Still, this “boy” (18 now an adult, or he was awfully close to it when the crime was committed) as you called him took the life of a BLIND man simply because, he wanted to steal the man’s gun (probably in order to have a greater range in his heinous activities but, that’s just my speculation)
Therefore, this stupid, shortsighted, heinous act he committed as a “boy” as you put it made it so, he will spend his life as a “MAN” in prison.
Maybe, if, you engage in some more formal education grammar & spelling immediate obvious indicators to the lack of it)YOU may be able to get YOUR HEAD around the whole situation regarding crime, punishment, and sentencing guidelines.

He deserves life!!! Glad justice has been served and another useless burden to society has been put away and punished for the crime he committed and the life he took away from a loving family. The family has to deal with the loss of Pat’s life forever and glad this clown cant hurt anyone else. Im satisfied!!!!
