From the Maryland State Police, Bel Air Barrack:
(Whitehall, MD) – On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 9:13 pm, troopers from the Maryland State Police (Bel Air Barrack) responded to a robbery at the High’s convenience store located at 4101 Norrisville Road, Whitehall, Maryland. During the robbery the lone white male suspect slipped the cashier a note, demanded cash and fled on foot after committing the crime.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office investigated an additional robbery earlier in the day at another High’s store location in Whitehall. The second High’s store is located on Norrisville Road just south of Route 439.
Investigators were confident that the same culprit(s) were responsible for both robberies. After cultivation of a robbery tip, an exhaustive investigative effort resulted in troopers establishing the identities of the suspects. On Thursday, April 19, 2012, a team of investigators from the Maryland State Police (Bel Air Barrack), Harford County
Sheriff’s Office and Baltimore County Police, executed search warrants at residences in Harford County and Baltimore County. Tactical personnel from the Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the execution of the search warrants.
During the execution of the search warrants, suspect Daniel Max Bova was apprehended at a residence in the 4900 block of Jolly Acres Road, Whitehall, Maryland. Suspect Patrick Anthony Hasson was apprehended at an apartment located in the 8700 block of Blairwood Road, Nottingham (Baltimore County), Maryland. Evidence was located at the search warrant locations linking the suspects to the crimes. The collaborative teamwork among all of the departments contributed greatly to the overall success of this investigation.
Accused #1: Daniel Max Bova (27 yoa), 4900 block of Jolly Acres Road, Whitehall, Maryland 21161. Bova was charged with Robbery/Theft and is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on no bond.
Accused #2: Patrick Anthony Hasson (31 yoa), 8700 block of Blairwood Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236. Hasson was charged with Armed Robbery/Robbery (2 counts), Theft (2 counts) and is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $350,000 bond.
