The Patterson Mill Imagineers, Patterson Mill’s 2012 “The Solar Stage” DI Team, Wins Statewide Competition
Patterson Mill Middle and High School is proud to announce that their middle school Destination ImagiNation (DI) team, The Patterson Mill Imagineers, placed first in the “The Solar Stage” challenge at the state level of DI competition. Team members include: Amanda Drake, Hayley Tucci, Colleen Burk, Jaden Matthews and Matthew Gartside. The team is advancing to the DI global finals to be held in Knoxville, Tennessee in late May. They will face DI teams from all 50 states and over 40 countries from around the world! The team is actively working to raise funds to help defray the cost of the trip, already confirmed is dinner at the new Panera Bread in Abingdon on April 30th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The Ring Factory Elementary Elves, Ring Factory’s 2012 “Assembly Required” DI Team, Takes 2nd Place in Statewide Competition
Ring Factory Elementary is proud to announce that their Destination ImagiNation (DI) team, The Ring Factory Elves, placed second in the “Assembly Required” challenge at the state level of DI competition. Team members include: Malia Matthews, Nolan Herndon, Paige Herndon, Alexa Herndon, Sarah McCollum, Nicholas Vach, and Gavin Davidson. The team has worked very hard and has earned the honor of advancing to the DI global finals to be held in Knoxville, Tennessee in late May. They will face DI teams from all 50 states and over 40 countries from around the world! In order for the team to go to Tennessee and compete, they are actively working to raise funds to help defray the cost of the trip. The Ring Factory Elves would be extremely grateful for any donations that will help them achieve their goal. Harford Day School’s 5th grade team placed 2nd in their division and will also he heading to the Global competition next month!
