Investigators are seeking information in connection with a sport utility vehicle found on fire in Aberdeen Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported at approximately 12:29 p.m. at a home on the 1300 block of North Stepney Road in Aberdeen, according to a statement from the state fire marshal’s office. A neighbor reported a fire under the front of a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition, which was brought under control by 10 firefighters from the Aberdeen Fire Department in about 20 minutes.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $10,000, the state fire marshal’s office said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Bel Air office of the state fire marshal at 410-836-4844.
