From Harford Community College:
Harford Community College presents an Evening of Jazz with the Roni Ben-Hur Quartet on Friday, April 13, at 8 PM in the College’s Joppa Hall, Recital Hall #1.
Guitarist Roni Ben-Hur has performed on tour in many countries and last year appeared in the US, France, Belgium, Holland, Brazil, and Croatia. In partnership with Brazilian bassist Nilson Matta, he released his eighth CD, Mojave, simultaneously in the US and Europe, gaining accolades from JazzTimes, Jazziz, and The Columbia Tribune. His second major educational release, the DVD Chordability, should be an important new educational work for aspiring and mid-career guitarists. It follows his popular Talk Jazz Guitar, which was published in 2003.
Tickets for an Evening of Jazz are $10 for adults and $1 for youth and are available at the HCC Ticket Office in the Chesapeake Center or by calling 443-412-2211 or at the door. Reasonable accommodations for a documented disability may be requested by calling Disability Support Services, 443-412-2402, in advance of participation. A minimum notice of two weeks may be needed to provide some accommodations.
The HCC Fine Arts Calendar is made possible by a grant from Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Arts; grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Harford County Government through the Harford County Cultural Arts Board; and grants from other federal and state agencies.
