From the City of Havre de Grace:
The City of Havre de Grace is excited to welcome the American Glory to the Upper Bay!
The *American Glory* offers discerning travelers the most unique and modern style of small ship cruising. Each unique and off-the-beaten path port visited, gives guests a glimpse into the cultural heritage that is the fabric of our great nation. The country-club atmosphere onboard allows guests to relax, and enjoy the company of fellow travelers who share their interests in American history and culture.
Originally the Cruise line called the C&D canal a port of call. Three years ago they were warmly welcomed to Havre de Grace, due to need of dredging of the C&D canal, and have decided each year to stop in Havre de Grace.
“It is exciting to see the arrival of this ship and I look forward to it each year,” said Brigitte Peters, Marketing and Tourism Manager. “We have also given familiarization (FAM) tours to organizations wishing to book for 2013. A great partnership has been formed with the City and American Cruise Lines.”
The arrivals are on Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings in May. Enjoy the sight of their arrival along the promenade in Havre de Grace.
