From Harford County government:
Denise Carnaggio, Deputy Director of the Harford County Office of Economic Development, has been named Employee of the Month for February 2012. Mrs. Carnaggio recently completed 25 years of service with Harford County Government, all with the Office of Economic Development.
Mrs. Carnaggio was nominated by James Richardson, Director of OED. Director Richardson cited Mrs. Carnaggio’s tremendous efforts over the past five years in leading the county’s BRAC efforts. During that time, Mrs. Carnaggio is credited for arranging tours of Harford County for more than 4,000 people and helped 76 companies relocate to the county.
“Denise did an exceptional job of coordinating our BRAC efforts. For the most part Denise has been the face of BRAC for Harford County and did a great job interfacing with numerous businesses and individuals as well as our federal partners at the Aberdeen Proving Ground,” Richardson stated.
In accepting the award from County Executive David R. Craig, Mrs. Carnaggio stated, “BRAC was total team effort. I work with some very talented, dedicated individuals and without them; we could not have achieved the success we have. They made this award possible”.
Commenting on Mrs. Carnaggio’s selection as Employee of the Month for February, County Executive Craig remarked, “Denise worked many long hours and weeks over the course of the past several years to help Harford County lead the way during BRAC. I commend her selection and congratulate her for an outstanding job. I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Director Jim Richardson and the entire staff of the Office of Economic Development for their tireless efforts on behalf of Harford County during the BRAC process.”

Denise Carnaggio continues to be an outstanding asset to Harford County. Some years ago, I had the privilege to work with her to encourage technical education in this county. She served on volunteer boards and was very active in creating business and education partnership. I am a great admirer of Denise, and this county is lucky to have her.
