Bel Air Woman Wins Grand Prize in Nationwide Swiffer Contest; Will Receive Year’s Supply of Products and Visit from Celebrity Designer

(Bel Air, MD) February 16, 2012 – As part of the HD Clean Challenge that kicked off in November on Facebook, Swiffer and Angelo Surmelis, host of “Rate My Space,” have selected the contest’s grand prize winner in the nationwide search for rooms that meet Swiffer’s new standard of clean. Denise Holcomb of Bel Air was chosen for her spotless room. Along with nine other finalists, Holcomb has won a year’s supply of select new and improved Swiffer HD products as well as the grand prize – a visit from Angelo, to be captured in an on-air vignette.

To enter into the contest, consumers were invited to post photos of their picture-perfect rooms and share their cleaning tips on the HD Clean Challenge tab on facebook.com/Swiffer from November 7, 2011, through January 5, 2012. Following the selection of the top nine rooms, Swiffer fans were invited to log back on to Swiffer’s Facebook page to help Swiffer and Angelo select a grand prize winner by voting for their favorite rooms beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET on January 20, 2012 through 5:00 p.m. ET on February 2, 2012. In addition winning a year’s supply of select Swiffer products, Holcomb is now able to look forward to a surprise home visit by Angelo in early March as well as the chance to have her room featured on television.
