The Harford County Board of Education will hold a special business meeting on Monday, January 30 to vote on a proposed operating budget for the fiscal year 2013. The special meeting was called after estimates of revenue from the state were revised downward for next year, prompting school board members to delay the budget vote originally scheduled for last week.
Jim Jewell, assistant superintendent for business services, told school board members on January 23that revenue from the state, which was originally expected to decline by $1.1million from the current fiscal year, was now expected to decline by $3.9 million. Budgeted state revenue in the general operating budget this year is $201,731,181.
Below is the published agenda for the January 30, 2012 meeting of the Harford County Board of Education. The meeting is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the A. A. Roberty Building at 102 S. Hickory Avenue in Bel Air. Please note that published agendas are subject to change.
