Fire Officials Investigating Fatal Abingdon Blaze

From the State Fire Marshal’s Office:

ABINGDON, MD (Jan. 14, 2012) – Deputy State Fire Marshals are currently on the scene investigating a single-family dwelling fire which has caused a fatality.

At 4:59 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to 703 Lombard Court, Abingdon, Harford County for a house fire. While performing fire suppression activity, firefighters found a body in a rear second-floor bedroom.

Deputy State Fire Marshals are conducting a fire origin and fire cause investigation at this time.

The Office of the State Medical Examiner will be responsible for a positive identification of the remains.
