From Harford County Public Schools:
Students brought in cans and boxes of non perishable food and faculty/staff brought in frozen turkeys. The entire school got into the spirit of giving and we were able to collect over 1600 items. Approximately 50 students and teachers gathered in the cafeteria after school on Friday the 18th to volunteer to create the boxes and separate the items.
Students packed over 40 boxes with a Thanksgiving dinner that included corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a Turkey. Deliveries were made to two local charities who will deliver the dinners to local families in need and help to stock a food bank.
Bel Air High School students are excited to give back to the community and ensure that more families have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
