The November 8 meeting of the Harford Community College Board of Trustees will include an introductory presentation on the proposed capital budget for the fiscal year 2013. Board action on the budget is expected in December.
The nearly $3 million capital budget proposal for next year includes funding to complete planned improvements to the Susquehanna Center, which serves physical education, athletics, and health programs. The construction of the renovated section of the building is scheduled for completion in August 2012; the arena is due to be completed during the Fall semester of 2012.
Below is the current proposed capital improvement program for Harford Community College. The Nursing and Allied Health building is delayed in this proposal to reflect the debt service limitation on issuing additional debt, according to John Cox, HCC vice president of finance, operations, and government relations.
Also on the agenda is an academic report on the HCC adult literacy program.
