A five-year overview of student performance, decisions on financial matters and a number of recognitions and resolutions are on the October 24 meeting agenda for the Harford County Board of Education.
Bill Lawrence, associate superintendent of curriculum, instruction and assessment, will make a presentation on student attendance, state test results, graduation rates, SAT scores and Advanced Placement results. Most categories will include a five year overview, with data from 2007, 2010 and 2011.

A board decision is planned on the transfer of $1,258,979 into the Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) Investment Trust Fund. The funds were received from one-time reimbursements of benefit costs for employees.
A required, comprehensive annual financial report will be the subject of a presentation for the year ending June 30, 2011. The full report, which has been filed with the Maryland State Department of Education, can be found here: http://www.hcps.org/departments/docs/businessServices/FY11CAFR.pdf

What a great choice for the Hall of Fame. Mrs. Banks was a wonderful teacher and person. Thanks, as always, Cindy, for the information on the Board’s activities.
