Harford Community College Board of Trustees Oct. 18 Agenda: Report on the State of Technology at HCC; Compensation Administration Policy Review

A report on the state of technology at Harford Community College and a review of the current Compensation Administration Policy are among the items on the October 18 meeting agenda for the Harford Community College Board of Trustees.

Board members conduct a review of board policy each month. The text of the current Compensation Administration Policy appears below:

“It is the policy of Harford Community College to compensate employees based upon available resources consistent with comparable academic and/or appropriate regional labor markets. The president periodically recommends to the Board compensation changes.

Compensation is evaluated and adopted each year by the Board upon recommendation of the president. Any additional individual salary adjustments for excellence in performance will be based on written annual evaluations.”

Public comment is accepted at meetings of the HCC Board of Trustees under the following conditions:

“Citizens or groups may address the Board during the public comment portion of the 6 p.m. meeting. Anyone wishing to speak at this time must complete a request form and return it to the Director for Marketing and Public Relations before the meeting begins (forms are available immediately prior to the meeting). A three-minute time limit will be imposed on each citizen or group unless the Presiding Officer decides to allow more time. Topics for discussion must relate to College concerns. Comments which involve personal attacks, employment or employee-related matters, real estate transactions, or which contain unprofessional or inappropriate language or content shall not be allowed. (Published agenda is subject to change.) Please note: Any person wishing to circulate written materials to the Board for use during their comment shall submit such materials to the President’s Office at least 10 days in advance of the Board meeting.
