From the office of Harford County Councilman Dion Guthrie:
COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES INCREASING
An email alert from Moira Kearney, Rt. 40 Business Association:
The Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in the number of commercial burglaries over the past two months. Often the burglaries occur early in the morning. Some of the burglaries involve the suspect(s) cutting alarm/phone lines before they pry a door open. Additionally, some of the burglaries involve the suspect(s) attacking the safe and taking the security system recorder.
The Sheriff’s Office suggests that business owners consider limiting the amount of cash kept on the premises overnight (even in a safe). Additionally, business owners may want to hide security system recording devices. Finally, if a business owner receives notification that his or her alarm lost communication with the alarm company, the owner should consider contacting the Sheriff’s Office for a response and/or additional patrol.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS – CHRISTMAS WREATH FOR SALE!
In an email from Mike Watkins, Parks and Recreation:
It’s that time of year again! I am already seeing a few stores with Christmas decorations so why not spread the Christmas cheer and send out invitations to purchase Christmas wreaths benefiting Special Olympics – Harford County. As you know, all the profit goes directly to help the local athletes with the purchases of uniforms, travel expenses, equipment, etc.
Thanks,
Mike Watkins
