Harford County Public School officials are expecting a big turnout for the September 26 school board meeting, where Superintendent Jacqueline C. Haas will be posthumously inducted into the HCPS Educator Hall of Fame. Seating will be limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Also on the meeting agenda is a board vote recommending that the school system’s $833,750 share of state revenue, made possible by a 2011 tax increase on alcohol sales, be spent on central cooling plant upgrades for Havre de Grace and Church Creek elementary schools. Other action items include a vote on a revised capital budget request for the fiscal year 2013. Among the revisions to the budget is the inclusion of an anticipated $10.9 million state reimbursement for the new Red Pump Elementary School.
Below is the published agenda for the September 26, 2011 meeting of the Harford County Board of Education. Published agendas are subject to change.
