During its legislative session Monday night, the Aberdeen City Council will discuss the elements of the city’s new Public Ethics Ordinance, which is currently slated for adoption on October 10.
The proposed ordinance would delineate provisions and rules for an Ethics Commission; conflicts of interest; lobbying; and financial disclosure for local elected officials, candidates for elected office, municipal employees and appointed officials.
Also on the agenda Monday night are bids on four pieces of equipment related to the Aberdeen Proving Ground Waste Water Treatment Plant including storm drain separation, a 4-wheel drive dump truck with snow plow, a one-ton 4-wheel drive crew cab utility bed truck, and a water service van.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Aberdeen City Hall.
