The Harford County Council will introduce a series of bills Tuesday night, which will prevent development and preserve the agricultural use of nine properties – including Norfolk Farm, and Ludwig, Gambill, Onufrak, Troyer, Rickey, Wiley, Vaughan, and Grimmell properties.
Also Tuesday night, the county council is expected to receive the Redistricting Commission Report and approve a resolution extending the declared State of Emergency enacted after arrival of Tropical Storm Lee.
Other bills slated for introduction Tuesday night would designate Dembytown Church as a county landmark and update the membership terms and powers of the Youth Commission.
In its role as the Zoning Board of Appeals, the county council will hear the case of Ashby and Carrie Everhart, who were previously denied a variance to allow an agricultural/commercial use on a 6.17-acre parcel in the Agricultural District of Asbury Road in Churchville.
The county council is also expected to make an appointment to the Core Service Agency and approve an Executive Appointment to the Advisory Board on Aging during its Tuesday night meeting.
A proclamation will also be presented Tuesday in recognition of Leukemia, Lymphoma & Myeloma Awareness Month.
