From Harford County government:
Ellen Pearce, an Administrative Assistant with the Department of Parks & Recreation and a 23-year employee of Harford County Government, has been recognized as the Employee of the Month for August.
Ms. Pearce was nominated by co-worker Linda Kelley for a recent job fair that she coordinated during her supervisor’s absence. To make the event a success, Ms. Pearce set up a numbering system, designed traffic control signs, and made announcements for the event, which attracted 350 people.
In nominating Ms. Pearce, Ms. Kelley stated, “I feel as though Ellen went above and beyond to make sure this event ran smoothly for the community and the Edgewood Community Center. The event was a huge success because of Ellen’s initiative.”
In awarding Ms. Pearce as the Employee of the Month for August, County Executive David R. Craig remarked, “Ellen exemplifies the kind of can-do attitude that is characteristic of so many of our employees. I congratulate her for this recognition, and I thank her for her dedicated service to Harford County over the years.”
