From Maryland State Police:
State Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack “D” arrested three Harford County residents following a reported “strong-arm robbery” at a fast food eatery Wednesday.
State Troopers were called to the McDonald’s restaurant at 1 Red Pump Road, near Bel Air, shortly before 1:30 p.m., after employees reported that a masked subject entered the eatery, grabbed the coinage dispenser for a cash register at the service counter and fled.
The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and red bandana. Witnesses told State Troopers the suspect entered a black car parked near the dumpsters at the restaurant. The vehicle was seen fleeing toward nearby St. Francis Drive.
A short time later, State Troopers received an anonymous tip about the suspect. The tipster identified the masked perpetrator as Patrick William Kruzynski, 18, of the 900 block of Bergen Court, Bel Air, MD., 21014. State Troopers learned Kruzynski was staying with a friend in the 900 block of Gainsborough Court in Bel Air, MD. State Troopers responded to the 900 block of Gainsborough Court, where they made contact with Michael Otto Essig Jr., 21, of the 900 block of Gainsborough Court and Jonathan Joseph Klein, 20, of 400 block of Dellcrest Drive, Forest Hill, MD. While speaking with Essig and Klein, State Troopers learned they were involved in the crime. Kruzynski was also implicated in the theft. State Troopers learned the trio cashed in the stolen coinage and went shopping. During the investigation, Essig resisted arrest and subsequently damaged a marked Maryland State Police cruiser.
State Troopers subsequently charged Kruzynski with Theft under $1,000, Theft under $100, Burglary 4th degree-theft, and Conspiracy to commit Theft. State Troopers charged Klein with Theft under $1,000, Theft under $100, Burglary 4th degree-theft, and Conspiracy to commit Theft. Essig was charged with Resisting Arrest, Malicious destruction of property + $500, Theft under $1,000 accessory after the fact, and Theft under $100 accessory after the fact. All three were remanded to the Harford County Detention Center pending an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
Additional charges are pending and the investigation continues.

If they wanted a room at the Harford Hilton why didn’t they just walk up to the receptionist and book a room. Now they can look out the window and see the fruits of their crime. Bars and fences.
