You can listen to the Cal Ripken World Series all week on SFMSports.Net starting each day at noon. SFMSports.Net is streaming live on the Internet and your smart phone. WAMD will feature Championship Weekend live. Coverage starts with the International Championship Saturday, August 20 at 11am, followed by the US Championship at 2pm. Then, Sunday, WAMD will feature the World Championship at 2pm. Coverage is provided by SFMSports.Net and aired locally on AM 970 WAMD.
It’s about time that Ripkens use WAMD and broadcast Ironbird games as well! A sizable number of the community that supports the Ironbirds would listen to game even while attending. The Ironbirds could also support the local radio station which provides local news,weather, traffic etc. If local radio is to survive and to continue to provide a service to the area, they need the support of local merchants, organizations, and businesses such as the Ironbirds.. I find that the Ironbird Network as advertised is difficult to get as it requires a computer which is not readiably available. WAMD and the Ironbirds would help each other.
Do you have the phone number to WAMD? I think that this is a great opportunity for the radio station to get back to its roots and broadcast the Ironbirds along with Havre de Grace and Aberdeen High School Football. I have connections with SFM Sports.
