The trial of accused murderer Rakim Muhammad has been rescheduled for Nov. 28 before Judge Emory A. Plitt, Jr. of the Circuit Court for Harford County. Pre-trial proceedings are scheduled for Oct. 5.
Muhammad’s attorney, Mark Van Bavel, met with Assistant State’s Attorney Joel C. Muneses and Circuit Court employees for a brief scheduling conference in Judge Plitt’s chambers on Monday afternoon. Co-prosecutor Lisa Hyle Marts was not in attendance.
Muhammad is facing 11 charges in relation to the July 17, 2010 death of Derrick Maxey, Jr. in Bel Air. He is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
