Police are searching for a suspect in the burglary of the Chesapeake Home Furnishings store that occurred in Aberdeen between the evening of July 10 and the morning of July 11.
According to Det. Will Reiber of the Aberdeen Police Department, the perpetrator took electronics and other items that totaled several thousand dollars. Several credit cards were also stolen as the store’s office was “ransacked” during the burglary.
During the afternoon of July 15, one of the stolen credit cards was used by an unidentified man at the Aberdeen Wal-Mart before leaving the store on foot. Police believe the individual captured by Wal-Mart surveillance cameras to be a suspect in the previous burglary.
Police are asking the community to help them identify the man, who “could be a local [resident],” said Reiber.
Anyone who has information regarding the Chesapeake Home Furnishings burglary or the suspect should contact Reiber by phone at 410-272-2121.
