“I am proud to return to my roots and feature both the Havre de Grace and Aberdeen football programs,” mentioned Steve Clendenin, President and CEO. “When I graduated from HHS in 2001, I dreamed of the day when the new athletic complex would be complete. Now that it is, we are able to bring our network style broadcast to this outstanding facility,” states Clendenin. In 2005, both Aberdeen and Havre de Grace football programs were featured on a limited basis on WAMD. Clendenin adds “Now, with the implementation of streaming technology, the broadcasts are going more to a global audience.”
SFMSports.Net is still seeing a few more businesses that would like to support the broadcasts. Bill Bateman’s Bistro in Havre de Grace has signed on as the presenting sponsor. “Christian at Bill Bateman’s has always supported our local sports broadcasts and he jumped right on board with us,” explained Clendenin.
SFMSports.Net has broadcast over 1,500 high school and college sporting events and is the exclusive network for Salisbury University Lacrosse, Stevenson University Mustangs Athletics, Baltimore City Community College Basketball, Baltimore Catholic League Basketball, as well as the I-95 Kick Off Classic, the Patriot Classic and the history City vs Poly football rivalry.
