On its first night back in session following the Independence Day holiday, the Aberdeen City Council has a brief agenda planned for Monday night, including a pair of presentations, an appointment to a city board, and review of a development site plan.
Perhaps foremost on the agenda Monday night is presentation of the Maryland Municipal League Employee of the Year Award, known as the “Roland B. Sweitzer Municipal Employee Award,” to Roger Hall, a city maintenance supervisor. Aberdeen Mayor Mike Bennett, president of the Maryland Municipal League, presided over the announcement of Hall’s award during the Maryland Municipal League Annual Convention June 26-29 in Ocean City.
Also Monday night, the city council is expected to make an appointment to the Board of Elections, review the Royal Farms Site Plan, and receive an update on the Harford County Government Department of Community Services FY 2012 Action Plan from Community Development Coordinator Jenn Phelps.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Aberdeen City Hall.
