Bel Air firefighters responded Monday evening to a report of fireworks set off in the basement of a home on the 1100 block of Saddleback Way.
Approximately 20 firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to the home following a report of juveniles playing with fireworks in the basement at about 5:44 p.m. The fire was brought under control in about five minutes, and damage to the home’s contents was estimated at $500.

I know I’m a little bit new to the area, but is it just me, or does Harford County have a major problem with people setting off fireworks at all times of day, in all kinds of places, for no apparent reason?
Seems like for a month after July 4th my neighbors decide that 9:30pm is the right time to start making all kinds of noise every day of the week. Now and then I don’t mind so much, but 2 oe 3 nights a week for a month is too much for me, when I go to bed around 9pm, get up at 5am, and my infant goes to bed at 7pm.
You too, or just around me?

Do you live in the same neighborhood as I do? Ugh. I don’t even bother to call the Harford County Sheriff like I used to because nothing ever happens. It was always on a weekday starting around 9pm until past midnight, and I had to get up at 5AM for work, too!
I moved to Harford County 2 years ago, and this is one of my biggest pet peeves with living here.
