From the Aberdeen Police Department:
At about 1:37 AM on June 26, 2011 the Aberdeen Police responded to 1113 Beardshill Road, The Green Turtle Pub and Restaurant, for a reported fight in progress.
Officers arrived and found several fights in progress and a large crowd in the parking lot. Officers gained control of the situation and learned that one subject had been stabbed during the incident and needed medical attention.
Officers located Clifton Myeres, 35, of Havre de Grace, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. Aberdeen Fire Department paramedics transported Myeres to Bayview Medical Center; he is currently in stable condition.
While still at the scene officers learned of a second victim who had been transported by private vehicle to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Roshon T. Harris, 27, of Aberdeen, had also been stabbed in the incident at the Green Turtle. Harris was treated for wounds to the abdomen and back and released.
There is no suspect information at this time. The Aberdeen Police Department Criminal Investigation Section continues to investigate the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Will Reiber, Aberdeen Police Department Criminal Investigation Section at 410-272-2121.

Russ says

annyomous says
Noble 7 music group not involved they throw great parties. This is an unfortunate accident.
sharkey36 says
Unfortunate, yes. But two people getting stabbed during a “melee” is hardly an accident.
Pavel314 says
I thought they closed the Greene Turtle a couple of years ago. I guess it opened again.
AberdeenResident says
They closed the one in BelAir, not the one in Aberdeen.
Jarrettsville Mom says
It closed because the rent went upon lease renewal is what we were told – it was always packed when we were there
Jarrettsville Mom says
“went up upon lease renewal” sorry fingers would not conform LOL

In response to Ced.. do you honestly think the Greene Turtle and the Diamond Club are the trouble spots in Aberdeen?? You must have recently moved there.. I for one feel safer at the Diamond Club since their incident.. they are stricter with the dress code, have a better staff and it’s comforting knowing a cop is always at the front door.. And the dummy that stabbed ppl wasn’t even from Aberdeen.. I’ve been to all the local clubs/bars with my girlfriends just to dance and there are by far, worse “trouble spots” than either the D. Club or the Turtle..
native says
“And the dummy that stabbed ppl wasn’t even from Aberdeen”
So, you know who the perpetrator is, but the police don’t? That would make you an accessory to the crime.
Concerned Teacher says
I believe she was referring to the Diamond Club incident. That man, from Baltimore, was just convicted two weeks ago of multiple assault counts.
Dman says
Where are these clubs? I am interested in finding other spots out here besides the gt and dc…just moved here
Raina says
I’m curious as well. Lived in Aberdeen for 11 years and am not aware of other “clubs” Plenty of bars though.
Rob in Bel Air says
Perhaps the two “uncooperative” so-called victims of this stabbing should be held responsible for their medical transport and care (rather than the taxpayers). Hit them in the pocket bigtime and then maybe they will be more cooperative.
It’s not necessarily the businesses, but the people who come there that are the problem.
Anyone know why the Turtle in Bel Air was closed?
Boo says
It closed due to lack of business.
HYDESMANN says
Seems like Aberdeen is catching Edgewooditis.
FED UP says
Really??? Guess ur not familiar with washington park, edmond st or perryman??? Don’t be in denial!
Harfordmom says
careful..it’s contagious, and will be in your neighborhood soon..hope you get it next..
firstname.lastname says
@HDGLady, You really feel comfortable with a place where they have to post a cop at the door?
@Boo, that is not the reason they closd in Bel Air, they did a pretty good business there, don’t make things up if you don’t know the real answer.
Concerned Teacher says
(1) Off duty cop. Many of them work security in their off-hours.
(2) Rent dispute, from what I remember reading. Of course, you need to be spiteful instead of actually helpfully corrective.
Boo says
@firstname.lastname. So if they had to re-negotiate rent, it wasn’t because they were doing a booming business, correct? That place was terrible and routinely dead on Friday and Saturday nights.
WUT says
Bunch of dumbasses making comments as usual.
worried says
did someone get killed here?
Russ says
@HDG Lady you feel safer since their incodent?Thats kinda bad when we got to decide where we go on a sat night based on the severity of incodents?I feel safer with no incodents.I shouldnt have to worry when I go out if I’m gonna get cought in the middle of a fight and catch a blade in my side or a stray bullet. This is harford county not LA or the Bronx. It is a shame because the turtle has good food and good music but all the good music and food in the world dont make me wanna make a hopital visit at the end of the night.
hdg..lady says
@Firstname.lastname, of course I’m more comfortable there. It’s getting bad no matter where you go so think about it..Your out having a good time with friends, a fight breaks out and weapons are pulled, would you feel safer with a cop right there or possibly be a victim and have to wait 5-10 mins for one to arrive?? Hmm..
hdg..lady says
@Native..Concerned Teacher was right, I am referring to the D.Club incident..yes, I know who the perpatator is. I found out his name by reading the paper and being right here on the Dagger. Go back to the 17th, the Dagger Press posted the whole story..Read It!!! But shh.. you’ll be an accessory too..
And @ Russ, your right!! It is a shame what happened at the Turtle but unfortunately there are not too many local bars anymore that haven’t had at least one incident.. that goes back to the comment I posted for Firstname..
Questions says
First, sad to hear that people can not go and enjoy an evening out. Secondly, isn’t it a conflict of interest to have off-duty police working at an establishment that sells alcohol? And lastly, stay classy Aberdeen!
clifton myers says
@rob in bel air, first i have no problem paying my medical bills, dont need the taxpayers to do it. i pay my taxes to. second i can not tell the cops anything i dont know. i had nothing to do with the fight, other then trying to keep the people i know out of it. I was walking to a car to go home when I was hit in the face and got stuck with what every he used. so yes that does make me a victim.
Rob in Bel Air, says
Ok, then the next question is, are you cooperating with the police?
clifton myers says
I told them what I know. they want the guys name. dont know him and never seen him before. they watched the video tape from the green turtle, they seen the guy on tape fighting inside. they had 10 people outside who seen him stab me tell them what he looks like. i understand where the cops are coming from, the guy looks like half of maryland. if i knew more I would tell them, I dont want anyone or their family going through what me and my family did that day.
Russ says
@clifton Myers Glad you are ok.
clifton myers says
thank you. sometimes its like they say wrong place wrong time.
hdg..lady says
@Questions..no it’s not a conflict of interest to have an off-duty officer working for a place that sells alcohol.. would it be fair to say that a cop could not have a 2nd job at a restaurant such as Applebees or a place like 7-11 because they sell alcohol?? I personally think its a great idea for cops to work at places that sell alcohol.. it’s amazing to see how many drunk ppl find another way home instead of getting behind the wheel!!
