From Harford County Public Schools:
Deerfield Elementary School’s Student Government Association just completed a drive for the benefit of the Harford County Humane Society. Fifth grade officers spread the word and assisted in collecting donations. Blankets, bleach, food, bowls, towels, beds, leashes – nearly eight cases of items were donated to our furry friends! Deerfield students hope everyone will take the opportunity to learn how to help the Humane Society. Please go to http://www.harfordshelter.org/?page_id=86 to see what items they need. Tell them Deerfield sent you!
Pictured below are SGA President Alyssa White, SGA Vice President David Brown, SGA Secretary Jazmein Taylor, and SGA Treasurer Shaylyn Lewis, holding a few of the donated items. These fifth graders students will be leaving Deerfield soon, but the school is grateful for their leadership!

Always amazing to see young people stepping up and being leaders in their own right. “And a little child shall lead them” Is. 11:6
