Registration Open for Economic Outlook Conference
The Chamber of Commerce and the Office of Economic Development will be hosting the annual Economic Outlook Conference – Technology for Today, Tomorrow and Beyond on Tuesday, June 14 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at Maryland Golf and Country Clubs. The Keynote Speaker will be Pike Powers, partner at Fulbright & Jaworski, LLC and author of “Building the Austin Technology Cluster”. Additional speakers include Major General Nickolas Justice, APG Senior Mission Commander and RDECOM Commander and David Craig, Harford County Executive. Registration is $25 and may be processed via the Chamber of Commerce.

Total Urgent Care Registers Bone Marrow Donors

Susquehanna Workforce Network Recognized for Young Employment Program
Reconnecting Youth, an innovative program introduced by the Susquehanna Workforce Network nine years ago, is a two-year education and employment program that targets students who have dropped out of school before earning a diploma or taking the GED exam. Today, this program has become so successful, it is now presented as a best practice to the nation, exemplifying the local commitment of educators and the community to assist youth in reconnecting through education and work. In 2010, 95.8 percent of Reconnecting Youth participants earned their GED. Program partners include Harford Community College and Harford County Public Schools. SWN has been recognized for having the highest success in Maryland and the seventh in the nation for this program.

Bulle Rock Golf Course Recognized Nationally
Golfstyles Magazine named Bulle Rock “Course of the Year Maryland” and recognized its superb design by Pet Dye as well as its excellent service. Golf Digest listed Bulle Rock on its list of “America’s Greatest Public Golf Courses” for 2011-2012. Bulle Rock was ranked 59th on the list, improving from the previous year’s ranking of 81st.
