The Harford County Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday night to discuss a cooperative regional utility bid that could result in below market rate energy prices for the county.
The proposed agreement with Energy Answers would be in an amount not to exceed $460,000 in year 1, with 3% increases in years 2 through 10, to purchase energy for Harford County at rates lower than the current Standard Offer Service available to commercial and industrial accounts from local distribution companies. This procurement is the result of a cooperative purchase as identified through a regional cooperative bid by the Baltimore Regional Cooperative Purchasing Committee.
Also Tuesday night, the Harford County Council will present proclamations in recognition of Lyme’s Disease Month and St. Margaret’s School Centennial Celebration, host a special presentation by the Citizens Budget Advisory Board, and approve executive appointments to the Environmental Advisory Board.
