From Harford County government:
A portion of Maryland Route 24 (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway) has been temporarily closed in both directions between Bel Air South Parkway and Ring Factory Road due to downed trees and utility lines. This portion of highway is expected to be closed until approximately 9:00 PM Friday evening.
In addition, a portion of Maryland Route 924 (Emmorton Road) has been temporarily closed in both directions between Ring Factory Road and East MacPhail Road.

I saw a huge tree down across Plumtree Road tonight as I was trying to make my home. What should have been a 5 minute trip from Main St. in Bel Air to Patterson Mill Road became a circuitous half hour trek as I tried (but couldn’t entirely) avoid Rts. 24 and 924. It turned out to be just an inconvenience, but I had a some scary moments watching tall trees bending overhead while I was a sitting duck, stuck in traffic on Wheel Road.

I wonder if this was as bad as it was during December? Remember that? People stuck in their cars for four hours!

I left Box Hill at 3:30 and didn’t get to Forest Hill until 5:45! It was a nightmare! At that time 152 was closed, too.
