A 24-year-old man, who claimed Sunday morning to have been kidnapped and held for ransom, is safely in custody after police found him unharmed at Walmart in Aberdeen.
Shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct received a call from a man in New Jersey who said his 24-year-old family member, who was visiting Maryland from Nebraska, had been allegedly been abducted and held for ransom, according to Harford County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Monica Worrell.
A few hours later, by 10:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Office deputies found the individual unharmed in front of the Aberdeen Walmart.
The victim is safe and currently being interviewed by Sheriff’s Office deputies, Worrell said.
