From the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum:
The Smithsonian is coming to town! Our community is honored to have been expressly chosen by the Maryland Humanities Council (MHC) to host “Between Fences” as part of the Museum on Main Street project – a national/state/local partnership to bring exhibitions and programs to rural cultural organizations.
“Between Fences,” a Smithsonian Institute traveling exhibition, will explore the cultural history of fences and land use through a selection of artifacts, photographs, and illustrations. “Between Fences” will surprise audiences with its exploration of the multiple meanings behind this everyday icon.
Also featuring “Beyond Jamestown, Life 400 Years Ago,” our local companion exhibit, which portrays the lives of the Native Americans in the Upper Bay Region and contact with European Settlers. Occupying the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum’s newly renovated gallery space, “Beyond Jamestown” features unique artifacts from the region, a replica of Captain John Smith’s exploratory shallop, near life-size dioramas, and more. “Between Fences” will be on view beginning November 12, 2010 and continuing through December 31, 2010; while “Beyond Jamestown” will have an extended showing. Opening activies and reception, FREE of charge, will be held on Saturday, November 13 as part of the museum’s Founders’ Day Celebration.

I believe that the correct name for the Smithsonian is the “Smithsonian Institution” and not Institute.
