On the heels of former Gov. Bob Ehrlich’s visit to Bel Air last weekend, Gov. Martin O’Malley is scheduled to make a stop in Harford County this week as he visits Harford Community College on Tuesday, October 26
Ehrlich was in town on Saturday afternoon promoting early voting and rallying his base near the Bel Air Public Library. Although the exact location and details of O’Malley’s visit were not clear, it’s likely his intentions are very much the same as his opponent.
Here is some of scant information released Monday regarding O’Malley’s visit:
HARFORD COUNTY O’MALLEY/BROWN CAMPAIGN ALERT
Governor O’Malley will be in Harford County tomorrow, October 26 as part of his final push of the campaign. Let’s turn out to give the governor a rousing welcome and sendoff for the final days of the campaign.
WHERE—HARFORD COMMUNITY COLLEGE
TIME—11:30 AM
I don’t have any more details but I think it will be pretty obvious where he will be when you get there. Hope to see YOU there.
This the final week of the campaign. The poll numbers look good and our volunteers are out in force. But we can’t let up. The Republicans surely won’t.

I attended the meeting at the HCC Student Center. It was a very relaxed and positive event. For about 30 minutes, Governor O’Malley sat down at a large table with students from H.C.C. They asked real questions and he gave them honest answers. After the “roundtable” discussion, he shook hands and posed for photos with many students, faculty, staff and HCC President Dennis Golladay before exiting to attend a meeting at Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point (you know….trying to save jobs, etc.) Frankly (and I’m an O’Malley supporter), Martin O’Malley excells at this type of format. Whether you agree with him or not, you come away from the meeting with an impression that he sincerely wants what’s best for our state and its citizens. Good luck to our current AND future governor.

I’m sorry you were so taken in by his slickness, Mr. Hiob. O’Malley took a multi-billion dollar budget surplus and turned it into an even larger deficit overnight through wordsmithing alone; he used that as an excuse to waste your money on a special session of the General Assembly to enact the biggest tax increase in state history, and he didn’t even have a budget to show for it yet; he and his cronies in the legislature completely mishandled the slots initiative; and then they wonder where all the millionaires in the state have gone. If I could afford to move, I’d get out from under his tax burden, too. No, Mr. Hiob: O’Malley should go back — and WILL go back very soon — to the only thing at which he is any good: fronting a bar band.

“Next Generation”,
1.) Your apology has been accepted.
2.) Your partisan opinions are factually incorrect.
3.) Feel free to move out of Maryland (grass is not greener).
4.) O’Malley will be reelected, and yes, he’s a good singer!
