October is Crime Prevention Month and Sheriff L. Jesse Bane has challenged the entire community to make crime prevention a priority. “This is a great month to pay tribute to law enforcement and the many people who have taken personal responsibility for their neighborhoods and community organizations that work for the common good,” stated Bane.
In honor of crime prevention month, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office is bringing crime prevention and safety tips to a community near you. Every Tuesday evening, members of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Team will be in a designated neighborhood to provide the citizens of Harford County with important and pertinent crime prevention and safety tips.

The timing does seem a bit convenient, but maybe it’ll get some people to lock their damn cars and not leave gps, ipods, etc (or even worse…car keys) in them.

Are you surprised? Bane will do anything to get reelected. Remember, this is the same guy that sent Numerous Uniformed Deputies to a “Support the Budget” Council meeting when citizens were trying to reduce property taxes. Yeah – the numbers on the Dagger are true – Bane increased the budget from $44 Million to $63 Million and he still cries poor.
Bane is a Dangerous Liberal Democratic politician!
October is Crime Prevention month. So would activities of this sort by the Sheriff’s office held in August, September, October or November of this year all be considered ‘leading up to’ or ‘surrounding’ the elections, and therefore suspected of having ulterior motive?
The question must be asked if Bane made the rounds for the previous 3 non-election years.
from an old press release I had saved in email: “(Edgewood, MD – October 20, 2009) Harford County Sheriff’s Office Mobile Precinct is scheduled to be in the Edgewood Meadows Area of Harford County from Thursday, October 22, 2009 through Monday, October 26, 2009. This concentrated patrol effort is designed to restore peace and tranquility in neighborhoods experiencing challenging times. This is the fifth time in the last year that the Harford County Sheriff’s Office has deployed this policing initiative in areas identified by CountyStat.” I know I took the kids to check out the mobile unit another time when it was closer to our area (can’t say for sure if it was October or not – it was quite a while ago). Anyway, my point was really neither here nor there as far as supporting Bane – just get tired of people Looking for negativity in … Everything!
