Join friends and neighbors at the 45th annual Bel Air Festival for the Arts which will be held Sunday, September 19th from 10 am till 5pm behind the Bel Air Town Hall on Hickory Avenue. This year’s festival will feature 350 artists, photographers and craftsmen from Maryland and 9 other states. The work of longtime artist participant, Barbara Pappendick is featured on this year’s tee-shirt and promotional materials. Festival shirts can be purchased at the Information Booth. Ms. Pappendick will be available to sign shirts at her booth, 109-110, where more of her work will be displayed.
Continuous entertainment on the band shell stage will feature cloggers, the community band, Sweet Adelines and more! There will also be roving entertainers through the crowds and craft activities geared to children. Additionally, radio personality Diane Lyn will be on hand from 2 – 4 to meet festival-goers!
A wide array of great festival food will be available at this event, including crab cakes and pit beef. The festival is Bel Air Parks and Rec’s largest fundraiser. Monies for various youth and adult programs are raised through food concessions.
FREE shuttle bus service to the festival site will be available from 9:30 am till 5:30 pm, running continuously from the MVA parking lot on Rt. 24. Parking will also be available all day at the Bel Air Parking Garage on Hickory Avenue, for a $2 donation to the Police Auxiliary.
This popular event provides members of the community the opportunity to join their friends and neighbors for a day of fun as they enjoy the chance to find unique handmade items and do some early holiday shopping.
