From Harford County government:
The Harford County Department of Community Services’ Office of Drug Control Policy and FACE-IT (Faith Activated Community Empowering Intervention Training) are proud to announce the 9th Annual Harford County Faith-Based and Community Resource Fair, being held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from Noon to 5:00PM at the Richlin Ballroom, 1700 Van Bibber Road in Edgewood.
The Resource Fair is free and open to the public. During the past nine years the event has grown in popularity and attendance. Over 70 organizations will be sharing information to members of the public about the services available throughout local county government, non-profit organizations and current faith initiatives. The public is welcome to stop by any time to pick up information and speak to vendors. The Resource Fair is a perfect opportunity to gather referral resources; educators and parents are encouraged to attend, since this year the Fair will be held on a day Harford County Public Schools are closed.
“We want this to be a one-stop shop where people can swing by, peruse at their leisure, interact, mingle and/or just pick up information on various services offered throughout Harford County – many of which people didn’t realize existed,” said Joe Ryan, manager of the Harford County Office of Drug Control Policy.
“The numerous networking opportunities provided by this event continue to produce many successful partnerships that are making a difference in our community today. Two is always better than one and collaboration is the key,” stated Carol Taylor, President of FACE- IT.
