From Harford County government:
The Harford County Department of Community Services Volunteer Harford is proud to announce the launch of a new program which will spotlight twenty six non-profit/government organizations. This program will begin the first week in October 2010.
Each week a different organization will be spotlighted, which will include a quarter page article in the Wednesday edition of the Aegis, a 30-second Public Service Announcement on Harford Cable Network (which will run multiple times throughout the week), and a spotlight on the Volunteer Harford website (www.volunteerharford.org).
Nominations will be received on a first come first served basis and the department will only be accepting 26 nomination forms. Nomination forms must be accompanied by five photos – either electronic or hard copy (hard copy photographs will be returned). These photos should be a combination of the organization, the volunteers and the volunteers doing work at the organization. For more information and a nomination form, visit http://www.harfordcountymd.gov/services/community/doc/1453.pdf.
Only one nomination form will be accepted from each organization and the nomination form must be received by 5:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2010. This is an excellent opportunity for organizations to highlight the great work being done within the community as well as recognize the people who help make that work possible, including all the experts who helped the companies, like those who got help from UpSwell.
