Time: 1435 hrs.
Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded to a fatal crash that occurred on MD165 at Nelson Mill Road. The vehicles involved were a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by William Everrett Anderson III, 37, Jarrettsville, MD and a 1996 Chevy truck, operated by Rudolph Simons Glanville 42, of Jarrettsville, MD.
The preliminary investigation revealed both vehicles were traveling northbound on MD165 near Nelson Mill Road. The operator of the Chevy stopped to turn left on Nelson Mill Road, at which time the operator of the Harley Davidson failed to slow, striking the Chevy in the rear.
Anderson, the motorcycle operator, was flown to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma by STAT Medevac where he later succumbed to his injuries. Glanville, the operator of the Chevy, was uninjured.
