You’ve got to be a real piece of *** to beat your baby to death. Hope that his time in jail is spent getting blugeoned by his new roommates

Seems to be nothing but bad news coming out of Harford County these days. I’m ashamed to live here.
Eric says
Nothing but bad out of Edgewood that is. A large majority of Harford County is good (Bel Air, Abingdon, Fallston, Forest Hill). However, a few bad spots gives it a bad name.
Bev says
Eric – You can’t blame everyone in Edgewood for what this monster did. My family has lived in Edgewood for 80+ yrs. There are good people who have called this town HOME for a long time. The other towns you mention are 2 seconds from Edgewood. Unfortunately, crime is moving into all of our towns.
Steve (a different one) says
Not everyone certainly, but the majority of violent offenders you read about in the county call Joppa, Edgewood and Aberdeen home. I am sure that it is no coincidence that these are the prime areas for subsidized housing. Again not that everyone in subsidized housing is a criminal, but unfortunately a higher number of scoundrels can be found in these programs.
As for Gb111, I’ll take Harford as a whole over Baltimore City and surrounding areas any day.
Anyhow this is truly a sad story and if he is guilty, I hope he gets what is coming to him.
Eric says
True; there are good people that live in Edgewood and they are definitely not responsible for this horrible incident. However, as Steve mentioned, the facts speak for themselves. A majority of the crime in Harford County comes from Edgewood, Aberdeen, and Joppa. There is still crime in the towns I mentioned but they don’t even compare to Edgewood.
BPB says
Kinda pissed Aberdeen keeps getting name dropped, Along with Havre de Grace they have taken huge steps in stopping violent crime. Aside from 1 or 2 bad apples here and there, Aberdeen is MILES AHEAD in safety compared to Edgewood. And Bel Air seems to get worse by the week.
Sunny says
It doesn’t matter if it’s Edgewood, Joppa, Aberdeen, Street, Fallston, Bel Air, or even Jarrettsville…..the fact remains that as a whole, things have gone downhill very quickly everywhere. Shame on us, as a community for snubbing places on the Route 40 corridor and hiding in our suburban nooks and crannies, instead of getting out there and offering our help. There are hundreds of children, teenagers and families who live in these communities that are striving to be the best they can be. You never know what a little help, role modeling and caring can do for someone that is working hard to break the cycle of negativity around them.

amen, theri are good people all over the world, just some people make bad choices to do bad things and the rest pay for their choices
Jo Vici says
Let’s not lose site of the fact that a beautiful baby girl died . . a one year old who could neither speak up and ask for help nor protect herself. And where was mommy-dearest in all of this??? There’s still a little boy in that home and I wonder if he was spared the violence his sister sustained . . . .WHO cares which town it happened in . . .GEEZ people, get a heart, stay on track, and make sure this piece of crap and his “wife” are held accountable for Shamyrah’s brutal death.
BLea says
I agree with Jo Vici, it doesnt matter what towne this happened in, you see it everywhere, but instead of arguing over the fact of where it happened, we need to remember that it was a baby, innocent and pure that it happened to. With knowing a family member of this baby girl and being close with this person, we need to show support for Shamyrah and her family. Thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of grief. Hoping the little angel has found her wings and is safe in Gods arms watching over those who loved her and meant well. <3

Great job to the police officers from the Sheriff’s Department on catching this idiot! Job Well Done

yeah, doesn’t seem to matter. I’ve lived in Bel Air all my life and it seems to be going down hill too.
