The Arc will host the 6th Annual Derby After dArc Celebrity Chef & Auction event scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Maryland Golf & Country Clubs to benefit The Arc. Proceeds from this year’s event will help adults and children with developmental disabilities.
The Arc welcomes Smyth Jewelers back again as the presenting sponsor and Jennifer McCullough & Rhoula Monios as this year’s Co-Chairs along with Honorary Chairs, Billy & Barbara Boniface and Scott & Georgeanna Garceau.
Maryland Golf & Country Clubs will be transformed into a Derby/Preakness style atmosphere complete with games and entertainment including a silent auction and music and dancing to the sounds of Angela Mazza with DJ Saxman of Still Hot Entertainment. Auction items will include skin care and cosmetic dermatology packages, sports memorabilia, sporting event packages, golf packages, gourmet baskets, weekend getaways, salon and spa packages, and specialty items.
Local “celebrity chefs” will be at the club to show their hospitality-Triple Crown style and include: Scott Garceau, The Scott Garceau Show; Shari Elliker, WBAL AM Radio; Alan and Lois Elkin, Advance Business Systems; County Executive David Craig, Harford County Government; Jim Welch, Harford County Government; Sheryl Davis Kohl, Former Maryland State Delegation; Senator Barry Glassman, Maryland State Senate; Tony Meoli, A&T Properties; Toni Linhardt, Former Colt; William Cox, William Cox Real Estate; Kristy Breslin, WBAL Radio Traffic/Harford Cable Network; Detour Dave, WBAL Radio Traffic ; Brent Harris, Comcast Sports Net; Governor Robert L. The event will culminate with the drawing of a “Preakness Stakes” community raffle for tickets to the Preakness, dinner at the Milton Inn, and one night stay at Embassy Suites Hotel in Hunt Valley. This year’s raffle is sponsored by Jones Junction Automotive Group in Bel Air and WXCY Radio (103.7FM).
