Harford Eagle Scout Class of 2009 Recognized

The following is a press release from the Boy Scouts of America – Harford District:

Harford District is pleased to announce the Eagle Scout Class of 2009. At last week’s Baltimore Area Council Recognition Dinner, Harford District was proud to present 54 young men who earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and one Young Man who earned Venturing’s Silver Award.

Together, Harford District Eagle Scouts contributed 19,842 hours to local community service projects. Projects ranged from improvements to local trails, parks, churches, and schools.

“We are very proud of these young men, who have worked hard to attain the highest rank scouting has to offer. These Eagles represent the best of Harford County’s youth, and we are thrilled to have as a whole, made such an impact with our community service projects. The Scouting program celebrates its 100th birthday this month, and these scouts stand as a testimony to a century of service to our community, state and nation.” said Harford District Chairman Jack Schammel.
