HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – On Thanksgiving morning, 500 runner s and walkers participated in the 3rd Annual Bulle Rock Turkey Trot, raising over $5,000 for the Susquehanna Hose Company.
Open to the public for all age groups and fitness levels, the 5K walk/run traveled from Residents’ Club at The Residences at Bulle Rock to the five-star Bulle Rock Golf Course and back to the Residents’ Club.
Havre de Grace Mayor Wayne Dougherty released the runners at exactly 9:00 and the first runner finished 17:55 minutes later. Renaissance All Sports Athletic Club recorded each participant’s finish times and a costumed turkey greeted participants and cheered them on at the finish line.

In addition to the race, the event featured equipment and fire safety demonstrations by the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corp. and the Susquehanna Hose Company, which is responsible for the fire protection services for the City of Havre De Grace.
“Once again, the Bulle Rock Turkey Trot was a great event for a great cause,” said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for The Residences at Bulle Rock. ”We truly thank the sponsors, staff and resident volunteers who gave up their Thanksgiving morning to help us.”
